LONG DESCRIPTION
Iqra (Arabic for "Read.") is an Android habit app for Muslims who want their first scroll of the day to be a verse rather than a feed. Users pick the apps that pull them in (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Snapchat) and a morning time near fajr. When the morning arrives, those apps are locked. Opening any one of them surfaces a verse from the user's daily Quran reading plan; reading it for about thirty seconds unlocks every chosen app for the rest of the day. There are no streaks-as-shame, no fear-mongering reminders, no paywall, and no ads. Nothing leaves the user's phone.
